Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda - Timeless Africa Safaris

Seeing gorillas in the wild has always been a dream of mine. Like most people, I had watched footage and heard stories but I still wasn’t prepared for what a deeply profound and humbling encounter it would be. The experience of looking into the eyes of a monumental yet peaceful silverback gorilla from a mere two meters away felt like looking into the soul of humanity.

The fuzzy babies playing with each other and swinging from tree to tree goes straight to the heart, and I was struck by how much these huge and gentle creatures have to teach us. Words cannot prepare you for just how special the gorilla families are; except to say that you have to experience it for yourself.

Wow! What an experience. We had the most incredible holiday and it is now safe to say that we are obsessed with the African continent!
