- An outing to Battery Park is always a winner. Ride a bike or skateboard, play soccer or basketball, read a book on the lawn, have a picnic, SUP on the canal, play in the water fountain, have a coffee or a bite to eat. Friendly staff will bring you sun chairs, bean bags and umbrellas free of charge if you lounge on the grass.
- Little Glen playground, framed by the Twelve Apostles mountain range and the Atlantic Ocean, this picturesque nature reserve is hidden away in the middle of Camps Bay. Surrounded by massive old trees, the park has a little playground with a jungle gym and swings. The small stream running through the park is perfect to splish & splash.
- The Bike Park – pedal your heart out on this exhilarating 2.8-kilometer cross-country track that meanders through beautiful winelands and was designed by Downhill World Champion Chris Nixon. Bike over bridges and ramps, through tunnels and along dirt paths. There are a variety of tracks catering for children from age 2 to experienced bikers.
- Sandy Bay Shipwreck is a child- friendly hike that leads to a real shipwreck. What could be cooler than that?! Start at the boom of the Kronenzicht parking lot and follow the contour path to the left, past the big sand dune. The path has a slight incline for about 2.5km with amazing ocean views, but it’s toddler-friendly nonetheless.
