If you’re looking to give back on your next trip, you can include meaningful experiences that benefit noteworthy projects and programmes…
- Most wilderness lodges support their surrounding communities and simply by being there you become a part of it all. You will see schools and clinics; with guides and staff running educational programmes for local school children.
- Take a township tour with Uthando who support and uplift the people living there or visit the Lalela Project in Hout Bay where local kids will take you on a tour of their township and you can see the incredible art they create (including our TAS welcome bags).
- Track a leopard in the wild with The Leopard Identification Project Southern Africa, which aims to be the largest global database for leopard data of its kind – combining scientific techniques with traditional tracking skills.
- Support at-risk children who are in school but have a high dropout rate due to social challenges. Earthchild in Cape Town works with over 2000 children within the existing school structure.
- Support emerging African artists with Completely Unique Safaris, a programme that finds new talent with great potential, mentoring and promoting these artists at the start of their careers. Through strategic partnerships in the art world, they aim to give African art a place on the international stage.
- Stop Rhino Poaching is an organisation actively involved in the fight against rhino poaching to which TAS makes a donation on behalf of each of our guests.
