Penguins on parade

On the boulder-strewn coastline alongside the charming seaside town of Simonstown, lies the idyllic Boulders Beach, home to a colony of endangered African penguins. It is one of the only places in the world that you can come close to these quirky and curious birds, even taking a dip together. For watersports enthusiasts, there’s kayaking and Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boarding in the bay’s calm, turquoise waters. The chauffeur-driven trip in a vintage Jaguar via Kalk Bay – for a spot of antique, art and knickknack shopping – completes the magic of a perfect fairytale day.
