Timeless Africa Art Experiences aligns with South Africa’s top museums, art galleries, artists and prominent persons to create custom-designed specialist travel at the highest level for global institution, networks, patrons and collectors such as the Tate, The Israel Museum, Guggenheim and Centre De Pompidou. We are the leading local specialists in bespoke art programmes in South Africa and have been appointed as one of the official travel specialists for the opening of the Zeitz MOCAA Museum in 2017.
Every art itinerary we create is customised to the individual needs and interests of each guest or group. Next September, our travel programmes will centre around the opening ceremonies of this already internationally recognised jewel of the art world. When it comes to art experiences, we believe that nothing should be standardised and we will be working with directors, curators and development staff to design your ideal itinerary and give you bespoke experiences.
Part of what makes our experiences so special is that we deliver access to both famous and emerging artist studios through the strong relationships we have developed over the years. Our guests will enjoy studio visits and intimate discussions with well-respected artists, gallerists, curators, collectors and leaders in the Art World.
Beyond exclusive access to the Zetiz MOCAA Museum, we will also arrange private curator-led visits to well-known South African galleries such as The Goodman Gallery, Stevenson, SMACgallery, Everard Read, Gallery MOMO, WhatIfTheWorld, to name a few. We can plan exclusive lunches and dinners in the residences of private collectors, showcasing their outstanding collections. We also have the network to provide extended itineraries that could include the likes of the Johannesburg Art Fair, a Big 5 safari or a visit to any of our neighbouring countries or islands, such as Botswana, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania or Zanzibar.
To ensure that we can create your ideal trip and secure your first choice in bookings and activities, the planning process should begin in 2017. We will closely consider your wishes and, after discussing add-on possibilities and your group profile, we will respond within a week with an outline and proposed itinerary.
We look forward to hearing from you,
The Timeless Africa Art Experiences team

South African Art has been a passion of mine for many years and showcasing the diversity of talent in Africa is one of my key focuses. Our art specialist division, Timeless Africa Art Experiences, has planned luxury art and cultural tours to South Africa for museums such as the Tate, Guggenheim, Friends of the Israel Museum, Centre du Pompidou and most recently, SFMOMA. This year we are delighted to have been appointed one of the official travel specialists for the opening of Zeitz MOCAA in September 2017.
Part of what makes our experiences so special is access to famous and emerging artists through the relationships we have built over years. Our guests are immersed in the exciting world of African art though intimate studio visits, dinners and excursions; home tours with private collectors, curator-led trips to galleries like the Goodman, Stevenson, SMAC, What if the World, Gallery Momo, Blanc Gallery, Everard Reed and more; and an array of sights affording a wonderful overview of local art and culture. All peppered with colourful conversations with well-respected artists, gallerists, curators, collectors and leaders in the art world.
Our programmes are based on personal experience, local knowledge and close ties to the art community. Every itinerary we create is unique and customised to the individual or groups’ needs and interests. We are also able to assist with exciting extensions to see the abundant wildlife our beautiful country has to offer.
Based in Cape Town South Africa, Timeless Africa Art Experiences is the leading local specialist in bespoke art itineraries. Over the years, we have established close relationships with museums, galleries, artists and collectors; and have earned a reputation for excellence in every detail. We bring passion and in-depth knowledge, as well as a proven track record of hosting luxury art specialist tours for prestigious patrons of the arts such as the Tate, Guggenheim and Centre De Pompidou. For us, ‘Timeless’ means sharing our expansive and diverse art world through custom experiences created around individual interests.
South Africa is home to famously ancient and beautiful artworks, as well as a host of challenging contemporary artists. Our guests have the unforgettable opportunity to explore this diversity with visits to collections in private homes, national and contemporary galleries, artists studios, historical monuments and natural sights. This offers a wonderful overview and insight of South African culture and art from the African continent.
