The Mara triangle includes seasonal marshes, open plains and gallery forests, all of which provide great habitats for an astounding diversity of bird life – over 470 bird species. The Angama Mara guiding team created a handbook for novice birders to help young birders identify a handful of their favourite birds.
Young Leah’s newfound love for birds had her lost in a “birder’s-paradise”. The number 1 sighting was her Dad’s favourite – the Malachite Kingfisher.
