  • Kigali is the capital city of Rwanda and is regarded as one of Africa’s most safe and lively cities, surrounded by lush green hillsides and meandering avenues. Kigali houses important historical monuments, such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial.
  • Volcanoes National Park is renowned as being a sanctuary for the endangered mountain gorilla and is also home to five of the eight volcanoes of the Virunga. The film Gorillas in the Mist, the biographical account of Dian Fossey, was set and shot in the park, and it remains one of the few places left to experience an intimate encounter with these amazing creatures.
