Meaning “roar of the lion”, DumaTau is a luxury tented camp situated on Osprey Lagoon, close to the source of the Savute Channel. The abundance of water in the area makes it an excellent game viewing spot which is famous for the staggering number of elephants and huge variety of birds which make it their home. The camp is built in the shade of towering jackalberry, sausage and mangosteen trees with a large, airy lounge cooled by the breeze from the lagoon. An expansive deck, swimming pool and outdoor boma provide ample opportunities for soaking up the stunning view.
There are ten luxurious tented suites accessible via wooden walkways that fan out along the river from the main camp area. Each one enjoys a similar lagoon outlook from their large raised verandas and through sliding glass doors that offer glorious vistas even from bed. The rooms share a soft, almost Scandinavian aesthetic with the main area; a look and feel that offers a refreshing take on traditional safari decor.
