Selinda Explorers Camp

Once a fragile habitat severely damaged by rapacious hunting and lack of management, the 320,000-acre Selinda Reserve was taken over by Great Plains Conservation in 2006 and is now a verdant wilderness with a flourishing wildlife population. The prolific floodplains and savanna are home to some of the largest herds of elephant and buffalo left in Southern Africa, as well as the beautiful and endangered wild dog. It is here that you will find Selinda Camp.

This elegant safari camp sits on the banks of the Selinda Spillway, a waterway that links the Okavango Delta with the Linyanti wetlands. Each of the eight tented villas tents is raised on wooden decks and constructed of sturdy canvas with thatch roofing, and come with large private verandahs, ensuite bathrooms, deep stone baths and king size beds draped in mosquito netting. Guests can explore the reserve on morning and evening game drives or experience the landscape on foot on a guided bush walk. Boat-based game viewing and fishing is also available when water levels permit.
