Gorillas Nest Lodge is situated in Rwanda’s North West Musanze district positioned on the foothills of the Virunga Volcano range, overlooking the world famous Volcanoes National Park in Kinigi, only a 2.5 hour drive from Kigali.
Guests can delight in a host of activities, including mountain gorilla tours and golden monkey trekking and a visit to the Diane Fossey’s Karisoke Camp. The Lodge recently sustained fire damage to its main public building which has limited the operational capacity of the lodge until the main Lounge and Dining Room are restored. The Lodge remains open for single family or friend groups of up to 8 people sharing.
These groups are accommodated in the famous Hanna Cottage and adjacent Ranch Rooms with all meals being prepared by a private chef in the Hanna Cottage. The Hanna Cottage is of 5-star standards and ranks as the finest accommodation in the region.
